Coco Avant Chanel = Excitement

Fashionistas and francophiles rejoice! Coco Avant Chanel (Coco Before Chanel to the non-French speakers) has premiered in Europe, and (hopefully) will be coming soon to the States. It stars Audrey Tatou (of Amelie and Da Vinci Code fame)as Chanel. The first time I saw the trailer for this movie, I knew it was love. Chanel came from such humble beginnings to become the most iconic fashion brand (and the most fabulous and high class in my opinion.) I saw the trailer a long time ago, but what brought the subject up again was the commercial I saw online for Chanel No. 5 staring Audrey Tatou herself. She is totally French and perfect for the part, although I preferred her shorter, more gamine haircut. I really didn't like Nicole Kidman as the face of No. 5 at all. It deserves the representation of a French actress.
