Back to school, back to school...

Hi!

With everyone packing away their swimsuits and clogging Office Depot with their search for notebooks, pencil pouches and the like, it is safe to say that "Back-to-School" fever is here. (Did ya get the Billy Madison reference in the title?)

Going back to school has always been my favorite time of the year, and September one of my favorite months, because it is well-known for reinvention. As a child (and still today) I would sit and edit my closet the week before school. Ugly turtleneck out, crisp new jeans in. I would also edit my desk: doodle on binder out, freshly sharpened pencils in. I love reinvention and everything about it. The chance of having a new start is just so exhilarating to me. A clean slate to be more organized, have better grades, and make new friends. If I could spend more time at school (for free) I would do it in a heartbeat.

So, as my heart severley aches for Boston and my lovely Emerson College, I am focusing on the reinvention process to ease the pain a little bit.

Starting with the wardrobe. Duh.

All of the fashionistas of the blogosphere are going cuckoo for cocoa puffs over the Kate Spade ads for fall 2009. I think they will serve and a very nice palette for my back-to-school wardrobe. Classic and feminine, but insanely fun with all of the bright colors.

Did you all make it through hump day?

  1. I think you deserve to know about polyvore. I'm also waiting for my love to return home, and it's been VERY difficult, but to take my mind off of the heartache, I've had www.polyvore.com to waste some time. It allows you to create wardrobes, kind of like a magazine fashion editor person. It's really neat. Hope you and Zach are reunited soon!!!
